What counts as an active certificate?
A certificate CertMS is currently monitoring that hasn't expired or been revoked. Expired and revoked certificates stay in your history and reports.
Is billing monthly or annual?
Annual. Every plan is an annual subscription.
What happens if I exceed my certificate limit?
We'll notify you before you reach your limit and help you upgrade to the appropriate plan. No service interruptions or surprise charges.
Is my data isolated from other customers?
Yes. Every customer gets their own private, dedicated CertMS instance. There is no shared database.
Do you manage or issue certificates?
No. CertMS monitors your certificates and alerts you before they expire. It doesn't issue certificates, handle CSRs or renew certificates automatically, so it works alongside any CA.
Does CertMS help with the 47-day certificate changes?
Yes. CA/Browser Forum Ballot SC-081 shortens the maximum lifetime of publicly trusted TLS certificates: 200 days from March 15, 2026, 100 days from March 15, 2027 and 47 days from March 15, 2029. Internal (private CA) certificates aren't covered by the ballot, although shorter lifetimes are good practice there too. CertMS gives you visibility and expiry alerts across both public and internal certificates, so more frequent renewals don't slip through.
